Some inspirations come from the things we love. Others come from the things we dreamed of experiencing. For me, flowers have always held a special place in my heart.
A Love for Flowers That Started in Childhood
Long before L’Xii Jewelry became a business, there was a little girl who loved flowers.
I have always been drawn to their beauty, their delicate petals, and the way something so small can make the world feel a little more beautiful. Flowers have a softness about them, but they also carry so much meaning. They can represent love, growth, hope, and the beginning of something new.
One of the flowers that captured my imagination was the cherry blossom.
I remember wanting to see a cherry blossom tree in person. There was something so beautiful about the way the blossoms covered the branches, creating a dreamy scene that seemed almost unreal. But there was one little problem: I am afraid of bees.
So, for a long time, I admired cherry blossoms through pictures instead of experiencing that beauty for myself.
Looking back, that childhood memory reminds me that inspiration doesn't always have to come from something we have held in our hands or experienced firsthand. Sometimes, it begins with something we admire from a distance — something that stays in our imagination until we find our own way to bring it closer.
For me, that way became jewelry.
Turning a Memory Into Something I Could Create
As I began developing L’Xii Jewelry, I wanted my designs to have more meaning than simply looking beautiful.
I wanted to create pieces that carried a feeling, told a story, or reminded someone of something special. I wanted to take the things that inspired me and transform them into something tangible — something another person could wear and connect with in their own way.
That is part of what inspired my flower jewelry.
Flowers are delicate, feminine, and naturally beautiful, but I also love what they represent. A flower doesn't need to be loud to capture your attention. Its beauty can be found in its smallest details, from the shape of its petals to the way it unfolds.
I wanted to capture some of that feeling in my designs.
My flower jewelry is a reflection of the things I have loved, the memories I carry, and the creative ideas I continue to explore as a designer. What once existed in my imagination can now take shape through the jewelry I create.
And to me, there is something special about that transformation.
The Meaning Behind the Petal Lumiere
The name Petal Lumiere evokes the image of delicate petals touched by light.
For me, it represents the beauty of flowers and the feelings they inspire: softness, renewal, and the quiet magic of noticing something beautiful in the world around us.
Cherry blossoms are especially meaningful because they remind us that beauty can be temporary. Their blossoms appear, flourish, and eventually fall. Yet their brief presence is part of what makes them so precious.
They remind us to appreciate the present moment, embrace change, and recognize that new beginnings can emerge even as one season comes to an end.
I find that message beautiful because life is full of changes. We grow, we learn, and we become different versions of ourselves. Some chapters last longer than others, but each one can leave us with something meaningful.
As a jewelry designer, I want to carry that sense of beauty and meaning into my work.

Flowers have a way of making us pause.

In some ways, I see a little of my own journey in that process.
Building L’Xii Jewelry has required me to be patient with myself. I am still learning, experimenting, making decisions, and discovering what kind of designer I want to become. There is so much I have yet to do, and not every part of the journey has been easy.
But I am learning to appreciate the process instead of focusing only on the destination.
Just as a flower takes time to bloom, I know that the brand I envision will take time, effort, and care to develop.
That is one reason I love creating jewelry inspired by nature. It allows me to express something personal while creating something that may hold a different meaning for every person who wears it.
One woman might see romance in a flower. Another might see a new beginning. Someone else might simply love the elegance of its shape.
I love the idea that a design can begin with my story and eventually become part of someone else's.

I am still growing as a designer, and L’Xii Jewelry is still growing with me. There are many more ideas I hope to bring to life, and I look forward to seeing where my creativity takes me next.
